高瑜，1944年生于中国重庆，女记者，原在中新社工作，1989年担任经济学周报副总编，不久该报被停刊，同年6月3日，高瑜被捕。1990年8月28日获释。1993年10月2日，再次被捕，经过秘密审理，1994年11月9日，由北京市中级人民法院以“泄露国家机密罪”，将其判处有期徒刑六年、剥夺政治权利1年、没收其800元"赃款"。1999年2月15日，以保外就医的名义获释。

Gao Yu (born 1944[1]) is a Chinese journalist.
Her career started in 1979, as a reporter for the China News Service[2]. In 1988, she became in deputy chief editor of Economics Weekly, edited by dissident intellectuals.[3] She also worked as a freelance journalist for different newspapers in China and in Hong Kong. In November 1988, she published an article in Hong Kong’s Mirror Monthly, which was described by Beijing’s Mayor as a «political program for turmoil and rebellion». Even, he branded her as a «people’s enemy».[4] She was arrested in 1989, after Tiananmen Square protests,[5] and she was released 15 months later because of health problems.[6] She was arrested again in October 1993, and was sentenced to six years accused of having «published state secrets» in November 1994.[7][8]
In February 1999, she was given parole in poor health.[9][10]
In March 1999, she became the first journalist who received the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize[11]. She had received already the Golden Pen of Freedom in 1995.
