请读者不要以为我们会被打怕，许志永身上有一鼓凛然正气，他都城在信访局门口都被打过好几回了，坚持非暴力原则，打不还手，只是有一回在信访局门口看到一个老太太被打，他忍不住出手破戒了，当然，最后当然是寡不敌众，被打倒在地。
对了，许志永和滕彪是法学博士，滕彪与许志永和俞江三人曾联名上书中国全国人大常委会对国务院《城市流浪乞讨人员收容遣送办法》进行违宪审查，最终导致收容遣送办法废止。
许志永还创办NPO（非营利组织） 公盟，gongmeng.cn，实际上是一个NGO，但注册NGO是需要挂靠并听别人的话，所以他们注册的是咨询公司，但不营利。许志永不仅做学术研究和理论构建，而且身体力行，亲力亲为，挨打挨骂，致力于推动法制建设和公民社会建设，是一个令人尊敬的人。
